As I enter adulthood, I find myself reflecting on the people and experiences that have contributed to who I am today. Weekends with my grandparents are a consistent thing that comes to mind. I woke up to the smell of my grandfather's pancakes, got dressed, looked for my "good" shoes, and headed to church. Weekends with my grandparents always included going to church on Sunday, and I never liked going. However, I still have fond memories of Sunday Service.

People could go to church anywhere. But, they choose a church to call theirs. It's not entirely about faith, from the ushers that greet you at the doors to the music that fills the sanctuary; it's also about the people and different elements that make a space feel like church. This project is an ongoing dedication to those things. And an invitation to exchange experiences. I grew up Baptist, but while creating this project, I discovered that despite religious dominion, there were common experiences to be shared.
